Our off-the-shelf models accept four, six, or eight cells. If you need something in between, we can disable channels internally so you’re not paying for unused inputs. For very large platforms with ten or more points, two boxes can sometimes be cascaded, but we’ll need to check the indicator’s input impedance. Yes, because the combined signal will differ slightly from individual load cell outputs. The potentiometers inside the box let you equalize signals before calibration, but the final system calibration at the indicator is still necessary. Our boxes ship with a quick-start sheet that explains the trimming sequence—it’s a ten-minute job if you have a multimeter and a test weight.

Standard models don’t include surge protection, but we add gas discharge tubes or TVS diodes for installations at risk of lightning or power line transients. This is a common request for outdoor weighbridges and silos. Just note it when ordering, and we can integrate the protection components before shipping.

Very little. Once installed and trimmed, it just sits there. Annually, open the cover and check that terminal screws are still tight and no moisture has snuck past the gland seals. The junction box itself isn’t a wear item—if a channel drifts, it’s usually a load cell issue, not the box.

We often adapt to existing site connectors. Send us the manufacturer part number or a photo of the plug face, and we can either source the mating part or suggest a replacement. For long-term OEM contracts, we stock the connectors so you get the same connection every time without extra lead time.
